<p><span style="font-family: Arial;font-size: 9pt">As part of this technically challenging role, you will be exposed to a wide range of responsibilities including the preparation of designs, implementing plans for the construction of earthwork structures and management of design projects.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: Arial;font-size: 9pt">HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?</span></strong><span style="font-family: Arial;font-size: 9pt"> <br />Contribute your geotechnical expertise to the mining operation at Horizon Oil Sands in the following areas:<br />&bull;&nbsp;Evaluate geologic conditions and geotechnical characteristics for assessment and design of earth structures and pit-wall slopes<br />&bull;&nbsp;Perform slope stability and seepage analyses as necessary to establish safe slope design <br />&bull;&nbsp;Prepare detailed engineering reports and memos documenting analyses and recommendations<br />&bull;&nbsp;Present results to mine planners, operations staff, senior management, and technical reviewers<br />&bull;&nbsp;Plan and supervise field investigations<br />&bull;&nbsp;Evaluate borrow suitability for earthwork construction<br />&bull;&nbsp;Plan, implement and assess instrumentation programs to monitor performance of earth structures and pit-wall slopes</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: Arial;font-size: 9pt">QUALIFICATIONS:</span></strong><span style="font-family: Arial;font-size: 9pt"><br />&bull;&nbsp;5+ years&rsquo; experience in Geotechnical Engineering such as field investigations, earthworks monitoring, slope stability analyses, seepage analyses, or instrumentation installation and monitoring <br />&bull;&nbsp;Experience with Geotechnical conditions in the Fort McMurray region is preferred <br />&bull;&nbsp;Ability to develop and execute a plan for completing geotechnical design projects<br />&bull;&nbsp;Performing consistently accurate calculations including slope stability, seepage, and settlement analyses<br />&bull;&nbsp;Experience with Slope/W <br />&bull;&nbsp;Experience preparing complete and well organized engineering reports<br />&bull;&nbsp;Prior Experience working independently, or with little supervision on non-routine technical assignments <br />&bull;&nbsp;Prior experience working safely and effectively in the field without direct supervision, in the presence of heavy mining equipment</span></p>

<p>POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;</p>
<p>As part of the supply chain management team, you will be responsible for providing key input into the consolidated contracting strategy for Cameco capital projects, as well as for development and implementation of comprehensive system of contracts administration, including contractor performance management. As an expert in construction contracts, you will be responsible for resolution of various contracting challenges at Cameco, relying on your in-depth knowledge of pricing structures, terms and conditions, claims prevention and resolution methods, as well as development and management of EPCM contracts on the owner&rsquo;s side.</p>
<p>In addition, you will continually assess, develop and implement improvements to the Cameco contracting process. You will provide leadership and direction to a contingent of project site-based contracts administrators.<strong></strong></p>
<p>EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS</p>
<p>Requirements of the position:</p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, engineering or a related discipline</li>
<li>Fifteen years of overall experience in project contracting, procurement or other project disciplines</li>

Reporting to the Mine Manager you will add sustainable value to the Project through optimisation of existing Life of Mine Plans (LOMPs), whilst identifying and developing underground projects. As an underground technical expert you will provide innovative engineering and technical solutions to production and site activities as well as guidance and direction in establishing and maintaining appropriate technical standards.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman">The successful candidate will have significant technical and operational experience in underground coal, as well as tertiary qualifications in mining or a similar discipline. Sound working knowledge of Federal and Provincial legislation coupled with qualifications from a university accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board will be highly regarded. You should also be willing to undertake training and familiarisation with underground technical and mining in our Australian operations for a period of approximately 12 months.</span></span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND SUMMARYReporting to the VP Environment and Sustainability, the position of Director, Health &amp; Safety is the highest level of health and safety expertise in the organization. The position is responsible for developing and managing the corporation&rsquo;s global health and safety policies and strategies and ongoing activities to ensure that all operating facilities, exploration sites and entities are in compliance with the corporation&rsquo;s health and safety policies and values. This includes ensuring compliance with applicable health and safety regulations promulgated by governmental organizations and accepted international standards adopted by Centerra, while concurrently assuring that the corporation&rsquo;s perspective and interests are advanced and protected.</p>
<p>REPORTING STRUCTURE</p>
<p>&bull;This position reports to the Vice-President, Environment and Sustainability</p>
<p>&bull; Direct reports to this position are:</p>

<p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</p>
<p>&bull; Guide the development and implementation of the corporate health and safety policies throughout the global operating and exploration units of the corporation.</p>
<p>&bull; Provide direction and assistance to the corporation in developing and implementing its health and safety strategies and establishing strategic risk programs and liability management. This position will participate in the statutory approvals of major projects.</p>
<p>&bull; Provide technical input and support to the corporation in the development and implementation of an internal audit program for health and safety.</p>
<p>&bull; Provide interpretation and guidance to the corporation to ensure accurate information on health and safety regulations and proposed regulations affecting the industry and the business enterprise.</p>
<p>&bull; Assist all operating facilities and exploration in their efforts to remain free of any health and safety regulatory violations through the initiation of facility and regulatory audit and oversight. If deficiencies exist, keep the Centerra VP Environment and Sustainability, the COO and VP Exploration informed and work with responsible site and exploration personnel to correct deficiencies as required.</p>
<p>&bull; Propose and guide the implementation of the most economically feasible solutions to the health and safety issues facing the corporation.</p>
<p>&bull; Maintain contact with appropriate government and regulatory authorities.</p>
<p>&bull; Complete health and safety due diligence on any project or company acquisition.</p>
<p>&bull; In conjunction with the VP Human Resources, the VP, Environment and Sustainability, the VP Exploration and the VP, Investor Relations provide input, support and implementation of any health and safety related community, government and public relations strategies and initiatives.</p>
<p>SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES</p>
<p>&bull; The nature of this position requires the incumbent to have a strong technical background, be thoroughly knowledgeable of all Centerra operations and advanced projects, and have an excellent working relationship with the senior management, operations personnel, project engineering and business development personnel in the Company. The individual must be internationally focused, a long-term thinker and planner, be able to operate with minimal direction and be able to implement strategies and actions through persuasion rather than authority.</p>
<p>EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS &amp; EDUCATION</p>
<p>&bull; A relevant university degree and a minimum of 15-20 years of relevant health and safety in the global mining industry is required. Must hold professional certification in the health and safety field. Must be able to communicate effectively and with the use of persuasion. Proven ability to develop and implement health and safety management and audit programs. Must also have previous experience effectively developing relationships with non-governmental organizations in an international setting.</p>
<p>RELATIONSHIPS</p>
<p>INTERNAL</p>
<p>&bull; All levels of executives and senior management, exploration, project engineering, operating and technical personnel throughout the Company including the Business/Corporate Development Group, the Legal, Human Resources, Corporate Investor Relations/Communications and Internal Audit Departments in Toronto. Works closely with the VP, Environment and Sustainability on cross functional matters.</p>
<p>EXTERNAL</p>
<p>&bull; Senior management, exploration and operating personnel in competitor companies, consultants, auditors, government agencies and mining associations, local community leaders and non-governmental organizations.</p>
<p>DIMENSIONS</p>
<p>&bull; Responsible for a budget of USD $350,000+. Dotted line responsibility for the sites most senior health and safety staff. Responsible to remain in continual communication with the sites and exploration senior management teams.</p>
<p>WORKING CONDITIONS</p>
<p>&bull; The incumbent must be able to effectively deal with the stress of multiple demands and time pressures required to meet deadlines. Extensive travel is required, sometimes on very short notice.</p>
