Redpath Chilena has an immediate opening for an Alimak Leader to join their dynamic team at the Pascua Lama project in Chile and Argentina

Closing: May 31, 2013

Location: Pascua Lama

Rotation: 21 days on/ 21 days off

Shift Length: 12 hours

Compensation:  Redpath offers a comprehensive wage and benefit package

Travel: Flights provided from point of hire to job site

Conditions of Employment: Successful completion of pre-employment medical and substance abuse test

Job Description

The primary role of the Alimak Leader is to maintain and construct underground installations, performing various tasks such as erecting work platforms, scaling loose rock, drilling, loading and blasting rock and ensuring that the drilling patterns follow the mining plans.
 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Operate Alimak Raise Climber
• Construct and maintain underground installations as face advances
• Perform tasks such as erecting work platforms, scaling loose rock, drilling, installing sets, loading and blasting rock and ensuring that the drilling patterns follow the mining plans
• Read and interpret mine plans
• Other duties as required

 
Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of Mechanized Raise Experience
• Minimum of 1 year as a Mechanized Raise Leader
